its yellow lined paper....
the papers thin-ish but i haven't had any bleed through, it takes my ball point pen ink well enough.
its good sized, the size of each pad is ideal to carry around, and i can have a throw away pad for notetaking and use a different pad for different topics.
I'm usually messy and my handwriting is brutal. this format keeps it easy for me because i can be messy without being precious about the cost or neatness or order.
the perceived cheapness and frankly throw away quality to each page just helps me start - its very easy to rip off, start again which in nicer notebooks i couldn't do.
also using nicer notepads in the past prevented me from even starting or slowed me down because i felt it had to be perfect or neater but with these its not a issue, i can just let err rip and be done with the mess, start again and make neater at a later point if i want. its been very refreshing
