A Lot of Bang for Your Buck!

A Lot of Bang for Your Buck!
Great sound, as expected, from B&O. Can tailor to different game types so, for example, in COD I can tell which direction other players are coming from by the footsteps. Once you get used to the functionality (very simple) they're really easy to use and flick between Xbox and Bluetooth/phone. Priced a bit top end but if they're on offer and/or in budget then highly recommended for Xbox (& music). App could do with some work re the speed but you don't really need to use it once initially set up. Guided instructions on initial setup aren't the clearest and you need to press the sync button on the Xbox in addition to the headphones when pairing. Sounds simple but when it isn't mentioned in the instructions you may not realise.

Bought these headphones mainly for playing
Modern Warfare 2 on the Xbox. The sound quality (using the free Dolby Atmos licence included) is brilliant - I used the ready made FPS setting for online multiplayer and it really helped me in hearing approaching footsteps and the direction they were coming from. I’ve also listened to music and movies on them and again the sound is awesome. For music I reckon most people will want to mess with the EQ as the standard setting is quite light on the bass.

I noticed some reviews said the mic is too quiet but I haven’t found this. In fact, my friends said I sounded louder and more clear than with my old headset.

The build quality is top notch and they look super sleek. Despite being aimed at gaming, I’d happily wear these to the gym (if I’d gone for the other standard gaming headset I was going to get before I spotted this, I would have looked a t@*t in public in it). I got the navy version and they look great - the gold colour on the sides isn’t quite as bold as it looks in photos. It’s classy and understated. The leather ear cups are made from lamb skin and are really comfortable - they fit completely over my ears (although my ears are small!).

Connections to the app, my Xbox and to my phone have all been seamless with no dropping out.

I was tentative about ordering from this particular store after seeing their reviews (people saying high value items were missing and had been replaced with cheap items of a similar weigh, eg. shower gel) and so I ensured I ordered on my credit card for extra protection and I filmed myself opening the package just in case I needed to prove the contents to Amazon. Absolutely no issue though.

I really rate this headset and can’t fault it at such a reduced price (£180). The only niggle I have is that it needs a case but with the saving I’ll happily buy one myself.

Bought these to replace a number of headphones used in and around home, including a long-lasting set of ASTRO A40s used regularly for playing/watching content on my Xbox. The sound quality is really, really, REALLY rather nice and ups the ante on my older kit. For music and films the benefits are obvious - but I was taken aback at the difference it made to gaming. The range offered by the headphones seemed to draw details out that were lost to my older, more bassy headphones.

The build quality is excellent and they fit my huge head just fine (no small ask!). Only thing to draw attention to are:

1 - There is no case included. Get one quick!
2 - You'll need an Xbox controller dongle to use them wirelessly on the PC. Luckily I had one, and it works just fine.
3 - The supporting app is not as well built as the headphones. Broadly speaking, I am not fussed as it doesn't impact generally on how I use them.

I have read other reviews complaining about drop-out but I haven't suffered this at all. I like the buttons, their placement and how they work, and think the noise cancelling is more than satisfactory for my use when needed.

If the app matched the headphone build quality and included a case (or even a bag) this would have been a five star review.

In summary, I think they're great and at the price I paid an absolute bargain. Very happy indeed with my purchase!

I've been a Razer fan for a number of years, but as of late I found their latest offerings just too plastic and not providing the depth that one would need in next gen gaming.

I'm a B&O fan outside of gaming, but when I saw the opportunity of buying a certified gaming headset with the logo I couldn't resist. First off, I had no intention of using the headset on my Xbox, I'm mainly a PC gamer and wanted to use this on Steam games such as PUBG, COD, Forza etc. I bought the Xbox Windows dongle to pair with the headset and it takes a matter of 2 seconds to connect and unlock the features. You'll open access to the Dolby app which really does make this headset come to life with various EQ settings and realism. I find a V curve covers most genre's of games - there are various presets such as Game/Music/Voice etc but they're a little flat.
The headset has the ability to replicate other player's sounds especially in buildings where you want to hide and capture your opponent, vs the other brands of Headsets that I tried (Corsair, Razer, HyperX, Sennheiser etc) I just found the sounds in buildings rather out of touch with reality vs the B&O.

For the money, I will honestly bet any buyers that you can't find such a decent headset for the money - remember B&O are audio experts, not jack of all trades focussing on swamping the market with plastic devices. This is a premium headset that you can also use on your commute for a stunning bouquet of sounds and bass. The mobile app is an absolute gem to use, and caters for all audiophiles requirements.

Battery life I would say needs a slight improvement, I find it uses 25% per hour so around 4 or so good hours usage on any games using HD audio.

Overall, I'm one happy chappy, no more low end devices are coupled with my PC!

Sound is great when it actually works. BT connectivity is dodgy as hell though and it can get issues when I don't even move. Just keeps stuttering in office environment. I guess it only works well in perfect lab environment with no other radio waves.

They look great and very comfy to wear for long periods.

      ANC is okay.

For some reason they don't have 3.5mm passthrough => I can't use any of my amps , which are far superior then integrated amplifier. Kind of stupid for such expensive headphones.

In the end, I wish there was no issues with BT, but constant glitches forced me to return it (in process of doing it).

5.0 out of 5 stars Cuffie Premium; da molti non comprese
Reviewed in Italy on 22 September 2021
      Colour Name: NavyVerified Purchase
      Mi vengo a spiegare:

      Perfekter Tragekomfort toller Klang

      Perfekter Tragekomfort super Bedienung

      Negativ:
Einziger Kritik Punkt ist das Micro ,

4.0 out of 5 stars Großartiger Sound, aber mit Schwächen beim Mikrofon – Ein High-End-Headset für Gaming und Musik
Reviewed in Germany on 14 September 2024
      Colour Name: NavyVerified Purchase
