Reviews
Brilliant BaggeboAnonymous reviewerI have four of these. One is in my pantry to store things on, two are in my shed and one I use as a shoe rack. They're very versatile. Easy to put together and a brilliant price.
Looks stylishAnonymous reviewerLooks super stylish in my office and is very reasonably priced.
Cheap shelves for our pantry Anonymous reviewerJust what we needed to shelve our pantry
Great shelving unitAnonymous reviewerSimple solution to under stairs cupboard space requirement.
Amazing for the price.Anonymous reviewerFound it easy to assemble.. did it with a screw driver to tighten the last bit of the top screws after using the drill. Make sure you give good length of the drill attachment screw so it can get into the top corner screws. Finish off with a screw driver that's not to chunky. I tighten the two legs first, second last two semi tight.. it helps you align the holes. For the screws on the last to legs, don't bend the legs.. instead move the shelf bit to align the holes for the screws. I did this with my fingers, screwing the screws in semi on the last two legs before I used the drill to quickly screw them in. Then the screw driver to make sure it's tight af, took me around 20-30 min to build it. Hope this helps! Will be buying another two }:‑)
Easy to build!Anonymous reviewerI was nearly put off buying these units having read that folk were finding them almost impossible to build. However I found that it only took me 25 minutes to complete from opening the box to handover to my wife. I note that your instruction booklet shows on page 5 at the top an ikon of a person indicating that a Hand Crosshead Screwdriver is required. This should state that the driver should be a Pozidrive type such as a PZ2 as the supplied screws are pozidrive headed. Also some folk have complained that it is hard to align the holes...maybe they should NOT be using a power tool! I found the units very easy to complete using a hand held Pozidrive PZ2x125 with no problems. It is easy to set the screws correctly using just a few fingers on the handle to tease the threads to start without any force required. Just my opinions!
Really nice shelving unit Anonymous reviewerLove this sturdy unit so bought a couple of them. However one was easier to put up than the other as some of the holes and screws don’t line up properly. So just be wary of that. Saying that I managed to put enough screws in to hold the shelf up.
Great productAnonymous reviewerIt’s a great product especially at this price!
I don’t really understand why so many people are saying that it’s hard to assemble, as it wasn’t at all. My husband put it together by himself in 10 min.
Looks good, but what is load bearing capacity of each shelf?Anonymous reviewerAll looks good, just a question about how many kg can each shelf hold? Ikea please get back??
Bought another one easier to assemble than the first Anonymous reviewerLiked the first one reviewed on the 23/06/24 so I bought another
Used a PH3 screwdriver for assembly
Shelves are all the same doesn't matter which goes where as long as holes are at the back
Only things I can add to the last review
Abandon hope. Buy only if you're a masochist.Anonymous reviewerHej! This shelving system looks good but whoever designed it, must have a deep-seated hatred for humanity.
1. you need children's hands to assemble it - not legal.
2. you need a thin handled screwdriver, otherwise you can't align the top screws (the ones that go right under the shelf). And you can't use an electric screwdriver to save time, coz it's too big - no info on this in the manual.
3. the screws are short, top heavy. Don't breathe while you try to fit them in the hole and start turning them - prepare for several takes.
4. Some of THE SCREW HOLES DON'T ALIGN!!!! In two cases, the angle between the two axes was 85 degrees rather than 90. Certainly not Vorsprung durch Technik.
5. I've found out the latter (Murphy's law) this morning after trying to put it together in a 30 min slot in the evening but abandoning it for the night. It would take 2 hours+ to return it to IKEA. Wish I could post photos here! TACK, TACK, IKEA, I never imagined you'd sell such rubbish! Feel let down!
Not too hard to assemble Anonymous reviewerFollowed the advice from Cassandra's review 29/03/2024
Used a screwdriver to locate the screws in the holes and only put them in loosely until they were all in place
Did it in 2 x 20 minutes sessions taking my time
Terrible design, awkward to assemble, but not bad unit once assembledAnonymous reviewerAbsolutely appalling design making assembly unnecessarily difficult. The fixing screws for the shelves are very difficult to locate and due to their close proximity to the underside of the shelf, almost impossible to get a screwdriver in unless at angle, leading to cross threading.
In addition the labels stuck to one of the side rails are so sticky they are almost impossible to remove cleanly. Really not necessary to use such sticky labels.
Easy to assemble and fits perfectly in my hallway where I use it as a shoe shelf.Anonymous reviewerEasy to assemble Andes the job perfectly
ideal for clothesAnonymous reviewerNow have 3 of these as they are ideal for my partners jumpers, t shirts etc
Perfect decorative shelvesAnonymous reviewerBought 2 and assembled alone with no trouble at all. They're perfect as decorative shelves for home styling and sturdy enough for my needs. I also like their compact footprint and minimalist look. Good value for money too
Not for impatient customers🙈. Anonymous reviewerFor me the only issue was the screw, it’s quite small/short to deal with, Other than that it’s all good.
For this price I cannot expect much but once I finished it, it is nice, clean n steady, not that flimsy. I like this shelf, good price I would say.
Worst IKEA assembly experience everAnonymous reviewerI bought and built a LOT of ikea stuff but this one - although seems so basic and minimal steps to build was so frustrating.
It also came not very straight, so challenging to put some stuff on it without fearing they will fall. Dont buy!
Very cheap and flimsyAnonymous reviewerAll of the pre drilled holes in the frame legs were too small, so the only way to fix the unit together was screw the fixing screws into the frame to enlarge the holes to the correct size, remove them, then screw the unit together. The rear support fitted easily as the pre drilled holes for that had been drilled to the correct size. Once together very cheap and flimsy, but then it did only cost peanuts.
BeautifulAnonymous reviewergood article, easy to install
