The recommended dose is one tablet per day. Do not take more than the recommended dose of one tablet (20 mg) per day, even if you do not notice immediate improvement. You may need to take the tablets for 2-3 consecutive days before your reflux symptoms (e.g. heartburn and acid regurgitation)

Product description

Nexium Control 20 mg contains the active ingredient esomeprazole. It belongs to the group of "proton pump inhibitors". These work by reducing the amount of acid produced by the stomach. The medicine is used for short-term treatment of reflux symptoms (e.g. heartburn, acid regurgitation) in adults. Reflux is the reflux of acid from the stomach into the esophagus, which can cause inflammation and pain. This can cause symptoms such as a painful feeling in the chest, which rises into the throat (heartburn) and a sour taste in the mouth (sour belching). Dosage/method of use: Take one enteric tablet daily in whole with a glass of water. It must not be chewed or crushed. The treatment duration is up to 14 days.

    Das Medikament ist nicht billig, aber Omnoprazol hat nicht viel bei mir bewirkt. Und meine Krankenkasse übernimmt das Medikament mit 40mg, wie von der Krankenhausärztin verschrieben, nicht, trotz meines ausführlichen Widerspruchs.
    Deswegen bestelle ich es immer mal wieder und habe das auch mit meiner Ärztin abgesprochen. Ich nehme in Akutsituationen 2 Stück und schleiche es dann 1 Mal pro Tag bis alle 2 Tage langsam aus.
    Es ist der Mercedes unter den Magensäurehemmern!!!
