Rouen is a most attractive town with wonderful gothic and timber framed buildings. Extremely walkable everywhere. Lots of fun speciality shops, decent groceries and good restaurants. Lively with lots of sidewalk cafe people watching. Viking river cruise boats stop here and during the mid-day you will see big cruise boat tours coming from Le Harve. The train station is very tidy, helpful and convenient.

Our last visit was 10 years ago and Rouen has changed.
Our last visit was 10 years ago and Rouen has changed. The charming pedestrian street to the Horloge is peppered with American fast-food joints and the bodies of the homeless sleeping under the arches. It certainly detracts from the historic city of Jeanne d'Arc.

Stunning city with beautiful architecture.
Stunning city with beautiful architecture. Easy to park and to get around. Plenty of pedestrian streets. Highly recommend a visit to the cathedral - free entry and open quite late. The Sunday market was amazing - a combination of food stalls, clothing, antiques and books. Could happily have spent a couple of hours there. The city also has a great selection of independent shops and of course lots of cafes and restaurants.. Well worth a visit

There were very many historical buildings and churches in Rouen - it is not just an industrial town. We had a one night stay on our way further south on a motoring holiday, but will happily visit again. It is within easy reach of London.

A fabulous city with its winding medieval streets.
A fabulous city with its winding medieval streets. The Abbey of St Ouen is as spectacular as the Cathedral, and the Musé des Beaux Arts has some wonderful art. We enjoyed the beer garden and interior of Brasserie Ragnar's Église-Brasserie at Église Saint-Nicaise and we loved the city's pride in it's viking heritage!
The hotel benefits from an excellent location for exploring the centre of Rouen, very easy to find and just off the ring road. It offers a small private parking for €8 per day. I was not able to pre-book a parking space, but there was space available when we arrived. Check-out at 12 is a plus. The receptionist spoke very good English, which helped as neither of us spoke French. The breakfast tables have electric sockets, so you can charge your phone in the morning. The rhubarb jam served at breakfast with pancakes was very nice.
This is an excellent central hotel within close walking distance of all the important sites of interest and restaurants in Rouen. The rooms are very comfortable and we had one with a balcony which looked towards the beautiful cathedral. The style tends towards the minimalist but the room did have a fridge/minibar as well as TV and WiFi but note that the WiFi is an open system and not secure. Breakfast in the bar each morning was excellent. Apart from the parking difficulties I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.
Everything about it was excellent . The room was very clean and the en-suite was amazing . Obviously recently refurbished and particularly liked the option of the heated mirror . Real glasses not paper cups . We have been touring France for three weeks and this was the best accommodation . Ok so it was in an industrial area , but it was a very easy 2 minute drive to the centre . An added bonus was the Chinese restaurant next door . You didn’t need to like Chinese , they had everything ! Parking very secure
Hotel de Quebec was exactly what I needed road tripping through Normandy and booking last minute accommodations. I was here for 2 nights and the location was perfect! There is parking but it was full so I parked at a public garage close by which was still conveniently close to the hotel and just explored, walked everywhere and took in all the sites! Will def book again if I am back in the Rouen area. Best bang for my buck! Just what my budget needed!
I can say quite confidently that the host Marie-Christine will be the kindest, most helpful and genuinely lovely host that you will meet during your travels in France. I am also confident that you will not find a more welcoming and comfortable place to stay in Rouen. The location is perfect and the breakfasts prepared by Marie-Christine were wonderful. She has thought of everything to make your stay as memorable as possible.
Flat is very close to city center and to the most famous attractions of Rouen. Basically, I didn't had to buy any subscription for public transport. In proximity we have several shops, after receiving instructions from owner I got to apartment easily. My place to stay was prepared as clean. No problem with hot water or with heating in main room.
It was right in the centre of town. We were able to walk everywhere easily.
The room was clean and the beds comfy.
They also had a wonderful breakfast with fresh pastries and fresh squeezed orange juice.
All the staff was wonderful!
We parked in a city lot right behind the hotel and it was reasonably pric3d.
Very well located, this historic hotel was a comfortable base from which to explore Rouen. The decor is an interesting blend of the ancient core of the hotel combined with the rebuilding required by the bombing in 1944. Straightforward hotel, adequately staffed and reasonably priced.
Great stopover on route to Southern France. The staff were welcoming and the hotel much better standard than expected. Great family hotel with toys for the children. Room was of a high standard, with robes and quality furnishings. Highly recommend.
Rouen was a really great city too!
Very helpful staff. Apartment was roomy, clean and comfortable. Parking was convenient, situated under the hotel. Next time we would stay longer and use the facilities. Breakfast was very nice.
Rouen was an amazing city to visit, one night is not long enough.
Definitely a great value! The hotel was in the perfect location within a short walk to all the sights we wanted to see. The hotel itself was charming, well appointed and squeaky clean. Their breakfast had a good selection. I would definitely recommend.
A beautiful hotel in the center a very nice new decorated room a very comfortable bed .
Breakfast was very good and the restaurant for dining had excellent food. This hotel was one of our best choices in France!
Rouen! Vibrant, happy place, full of history, … it’s what I expected France to be like, after disappointing start in CDG, and long trip to Gare St. Lazare, then to Vernon. Missed our reservation to Giverny.
Good hotel. Very helpful receptionist who carried my case upstairs and recommended restaurants. Also she was helpful with parking in the hotel car park.
